Wow! Have we had crazy weather recently? Yes, it’s Spring in Oklahoma, and with it comes constant temperature changes, sudden highs and lows, and with that….Yes, heavy rain, hail, high winds and tornados.
Please be weather aware, and warn your friends if they are out of reach of our local, OKC Weather advisors. Not all of our friends and neighbors have backup generators and excellent internet that stays on during these weather events. Please realize the need to help to warn our friends and neighbors when the need arises.
We are a small community, and it’s wonderful that we are blessed to live in such a wonderful caring community.
The pandemic has made everyone a little stand offish, and shut it, and a little nervous to reach out to others, whether to reach out to help or to reach out when help is needed. These past few years have been very troubling, it seems as though we cannot get straight answers from our leaders as to how to deal with the side effects of the pandemic. I feel, the sooner we can start embracing all of these new realities, the sooner we can get to a normal that can support our needs as people, friends, and community. We all need to find what makes us happy, puts us at ease, and reduces our own personal stress and anxiety. Easy, peazy…lol.
As for the Cosmetology Academy….I have had several friends, clients and associates reach out to me lately in regard to the school taking appointments. Right now we are open for the students. We are offering classes in cosmetology and esthetics. We are keeping our class numbers down to control the environment the best we can. Students are learning with mannequins, but, we are not taking salon service clients. We understand that this is an inconvenience, but in order to manage the situation the best we can, this is how we will operate for now. In the future – when we do start taking appointments again, it will be somewhat limited, and we, like so many others will need to operate our business in a different way. We appreciate your patience. We know this is hard on everyone. But we need to do what we can to keep the school open for the students, so they can get their education and have as few breaks as possible during their education process.
